The Problem with “More Is Better”

The decision tree analysis identified aboveground biomass and soil organic matter (SOM) as key factors distinguishing the most productive (MP) from least productive (LP) fields. Orange boxes indicate groups of samples dominated by LP fields, and green boxes represent groups dominated by MP fields. In each box, the second row shows the sample counts corresponding to the categories in the first row, and the third row indicates the percentage of samples in that box. The confusion matrix on the upper right corner shows the predicted and actual values with an accuracy of 0.75 and a sensitivity of 0.68. By Swarnali Mahmood.
